Mrs Ugeshni Moodley holds a qualification in Information Technology and is currently appointed as the technician within the Faculty of Accounting and Informatics. She co- ordinates activities within the 4IR Centre of Excellence and explores latest technologies including virtual reality and robotics. She is the chairperson of the Faculty Engagement Forum and member of the University Community Engagement Committee. She co-ordinates industry engagements, bursary funding and 3rd stream income within the faculty. She oversees special projects from the Deans Office and is an organizing member in all faculty led conferences and events. She
propagates for a positive work environment characterized by teamwork, trust and respect for one and other.

Professor Sheena Kumari Kuttan Pillai
Professor Sheena Kumari is an NRF rated (C2) researcher at the Institute for Water and Wastewater Technology. Her research interests include biological wastewater treatment, antimicrobial resistance, and emerging pollutants in wastewater. She has authored over
80 peer-reviewed publications (Google Scholar H index 28) in leading ISI journals, contributed to several book chapters, and presented at national and international conferences.To date, she has graduated 22 postgraduate students and mentored four postdoctoral fellows. She has also received several external grants, including NRF Competitive Funding for Rated Researchers and Water Research Commission grants. Professor Kumari was recognized for her contributions to science and was awarded the 2019 DST South African Woman in Science Award (1st Runner up); the top-published research fellow at DUT and the Faculty of Applied Science research excellence and DUT’s recognition for excellence in research.
