Professor Keolebogile motaung
Motaung is a full Professor, Biomedical Scientist and Acting DVC: Research Innovation & Engagement at the Durban University of Technology with more than 24 years’ experience in Higher Education. Professor Keolebogile Motaung is a well-established scientist with international
recognition in her field of stem cells, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. She has published extensively in the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Prof. Motaung is passionate about capacity building, has successfully supervised postgraduate students, and continues mentoring emerging researchers. She is a passionate about science, technology, entrepreneurship and commercialisation, often assisting the DSI in redefining international relations for women in STEM research. As a professor, research scientist and entrepreneur, she trains her postgraduate students not just on how to do research, and become a scientist, but also on how to become entrepreneurs. By becoming entrepreneurs, they can create jobs for themselves after completing their studies at a time, when jobs are scarce, and unemployment is high.

Ms Dorinda Raphine Borg, Ms Sharlynn Beekrum
Ms Dorinda Borg is a lecturer in the Department of Somatology and is completing her Doctorate in Public Management. She is dedicated to being a positive influence in her students’ academic journey and observing them develop and grow, unlocking their potential to be successful somatologists and entrepreneurs. She enjoys creating innovative aromatherapy-based products and performing reflexology treatments.
