Ms Divinia Jithoo is a Specialist in International Education at the International Education and Partnerships Office at the Durban University of Technology. Ms Jithoo has worked in higher education Internationalisation since 2007 and has specialised in study abroad and exchange as well as international virtual engagement. Ms Jithoo is also a PhD candidate at the University of Western Cape. Her research focus is leadership of cross-border research collaboration.
Ms Philiswa Mncube is the International Students Relations Officer at the Durban University of Technology. She founded and runs an experiential intercultural programme focused on teaching IsiZulu culture and more broadly, the culture of South Africa to exchange students. Philiswa’s additional expertise include facilitating intercultural learning programmes to staff for partner universities locally and abroad through collaborative online international learning (COIL) projects and other virtual exchange initiatives. She has previously worked for the Alliance Française de Durban where she currently serves as an AGM member, lectured at the Durban University of Technology in the Media, Language and Communications Department and prior to this, she had been with the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra whiles pursuing her undergraduate studies. Philiswa
is concurrently pursuing her studies at the University of Zululand for Master of Arts in African Languages and Culture, and her educational background includes a Bachelor of Technology and National Diploma in Language Practice and further holds a few certificates for French and Mandarin external exams as Foreign Languages.
