In 2003 he gained a PhD from National University of Singapore, Department of Physics. From 2007 until 2015 he was a
Post Doctoral fellow at various universities in South Africa. Currently, he is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Systems Science, Durban University of Technology. Since 2015, he is rated as an Established Researcher (C) by the National Research Foundation of South Africa. He has authored more than 60 articles. His research interests are theory of open quantum systems and its applications (incl. quantum optics), theories of condensed matter and quantum liquids (incl. superfluidity), non-Hermitian Hamiltonian formalism, extragalactic astrophysics and high- energy phenomena

Prof Vakhid Gani is Associate Professor at National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute). His primary research interest is in computational physics and applied mathematics (nonlinear dynamics and solitons).
