Mr Irfaan Ally is a business analyst and software developer. He has been in the IT industry for over 37 Years of which 22 years were in academia. He held the position of HOD for some 10 years. Irfaan has been involved in the DUT AppFactory since its inception in 2014.A support unit empowering interns with design and development experience in “live” systems that have been implemented. This initiative has assisted in the employment of some 40 interns into appropriate IT positions.

Mr Fanie Ndlovu
Mr Fanie Ndlovu is a currently employed within the Faculty of Accounting and Informatics pursuing a master’s degree in ICT. He has passion for tech community development, he has trained thousands of people that include students and professionals. His work has won him multi-
awards and took him internationally. In 2018 and 2020 and 2021, DUT honored him with community service and leadership award (2018) and two Community Engagement Student of the Year (2020 and 2021). In 2021 EBL Institute honored him with Chairman’s Tenacity: Special Award. In September 2018 and October 2022, he was invited by Google to speak at Sub-Sahara Africa GDG Summit (2022) and Google Community Leader Summit (2022) hosted in Kenya. November 2018DUTsenthimasdelegatetoparticipant in emerging leaders Peace Summit in United Nation, Thailand. In March 2020, based on his amazing work Microsoft invited Fanie to attend Microsoft Imagine Cup Final summit in Netherlands
