Programme Implementation Reference Groups have been set up and engagements are ongoing with the identified individuals following the relaxation of national lockdown regulations. During the second quarter, UNIZULU initiated the process to appoint construction entities to implement construction projects. In addition, the projects related to the Stores and PPO Offices and the repurposing of the Old Vice- Chancellor’s House on campus into a conference facility were completed in August 2020.
The appointment of Mosebo MF Projects was effective in helping with the acceleration of the IIP. However, there is still a persistent lack of capacity in terms of Facilities Management (FM) at the University. UNIZULU is working on a strategy to address the capacity concern.
