She is an academic who has served 21 years in various roles, junior lecturer, lecturer, senior lecturer, and the HoD (Acting) of Fin Acc. (May 2019-March 2021) at DUT.
During Covid-19 when information changed all the time, she worked through many nights and weekends with staff to ensure completion of the 2020 academic year. Her PhD was supported by NRF (DST) and DUT Postgraduate Grant. She published five DHET accredited articles from her PhD. Further, she is a NRF referee, peer reviewer for DHET accredited journals, book author, book editor, and external examiner. She is
supervising students in the broad research fields of Ethics, Accounting education, 4IR, SMEs. Her research discipline cuts across Financial Accounting, Ethical/Educational leadership, Corp. governance, Applied ethics. She is a member of RRING research project supported by Europe Union, a CoP member of EDHE by USAf, and the ‘only’ accounting academic selected by RADLA in 2021 to be part of the NRF rating journey.
