 3. THIRD-STREAM INCOME
The Faculty of Accounting and Informatics has engaged with quad helix partners and secured funding to the value of 1.2 Million rands towards students enrolled in ICT and Engineering Programmes.
The Advancement and Alumni Relations Unit (AARU) continues to engage proactively with various organisations to mobilise resources aimed at supporting students.These efforts focus primarily on securing bursaries, enhancing food security, and sustaining school engagement initiatives.
The AARU successfully raised a total of R6.87 million through external donor contributions, as detailed on the table below:
 The DUT BankSETA Project, was awarded a total of R7,487,053 through the BankSETA Higher Education Institution (HEI) Funding Window. The allocation included R5,166,000 for Cohort 1 and R2,321,053 for Cohort 2. This strategic funding has benefited a total of 74 students across two faculties - the Faculty of Management Sciences and the Faculty of Accounting and Informatics.
