Just a couple of kilometres beyond the Durban suburb of Hillcrest, within the Valley of a Thousand Hills, you will find the scenic Inanda Dam which threads between the steep hills of the valley. This spot has become legendary as the compulsory second overnight stop on the Dusi Canoe Marathon, a thrilling sporting fixture with a long history.
There are picnic sites for day visitors and an array of birds and animals roaming the bush around the water’s edge. Bring your sunhat and binoculars.

The dramatic Krantzkloof Nature
Reserve
Krantzkloof Nature Reserve, where the Molweni and Nqutu gorges meet, encompasses cliffs, waterfalls and nutural forest teeming with wildlife. It has 20km of scenic walks, including a stunning waterfall and two wonderful view site of the Krantzkloof Gorge.
