Madagascar. December 1976. A wind of revolt sweeps through the city. Ali, second-in command in a bookbinding workshop, is raising his two daughters alone. One morning, before going to work, he witnesses what seems to be a simple neighbourhood quarrel. The tensions between different factions however prove to be far more serious with severe consequences. The revolution which seemed to be on the streets has crept in to his compound and soon his workplace is also impacted by national rivalries. As tensions rise opposite factions take advantage of personal slights for political gain.
