a Master’s student in the Faculty of Accounting
and Informatics, Department of Information and Corporate Management, stands as a shining example of such an individual. His recent accolade of winning the Programme of the Year Award under his NGO
programme named Men Carve at the Institutional Award Ceremony recently speaks volumes about his dedication to fostering positive change.
At the helm of Men Carve, Zakhe Khuzwayo serves as the president of an organisation committed to promoting healthy manhood and creating a culture of equity and respect. Men Carve’s mission goes beyond the academic realm; it seeks to address pressing social issues such as gender-based violence (GBV) and sexual assault while also advocating for bystander intervention.Through various initiatives and outreach programmes,
