The year 2022/23 was characterised by the continuous execution of strategic initiatives that have profoundly shaped our impact on society. Our initiatives, which are meticulously aligned with our goals, have made significant progress. The “LOCALISATION” initiative has effectively empowered a diverse group of entrepreneurs, fostering innovation and inclusiveness.
The “Durban Textile & Leather Incubator” has been established successfully and is charged with fostering the growth of sustainable SMMEs in the clothing, textile, and leather industries. DUT CSERI remains committed to its growth plan. We intend to diversify our portfolio by nurturing partnerships in emerging industries like renewable energy and digital innovation.
Our strategy emphasises the incorporation of cutting- edge technologies and data-driven insights to enhance our incubatees’ and stakeholders’ competitiveness and yield sustainable value.
We are profoundly appreciative of our stakeholders’ unwavering support. Our collaborative efforts with local government agencies, industry partners, and educational institutions have fostered a business-friendly environment.
We reaffirm our dedication to openness and collaboration, and we
are eager to explore new
partnerships that align with our mission of fostering social change through entrepreneurship.
DUT CSERI has aggressively pursued new initiatives and forged strategic alliances that are consistent with our vision.
Our “Homelessness Empowerment Project”seeks to empower homeless individuals through entrepreneurship, while addressing inequality in society. In addition, we have forged strategic alliances with industry leaders in engineering and sustainable agriculture, thereby enhancing our impact and expanding our reach.
In conclusion, the year 2022/2023 was a demonstration of DUT CSERI’s resilience and unwavering commitment to creating sustainable businesses, employment, and financial stability.
The journey has not been without obstacles, but our exceptional team has tremendously trumped them.
