Percentage of Film Fund Projects Awarded Funding to Designated Groups
A total of 44 projects were awarded funding for the year, with 43 projects being awarded to persons from the designated groups. There has been a gradual increase in percentages of film fund projects awarded funding to designated groups over the years. This can attribute to the support that has been given to emerging black filmmakers and the training interventions that KZNFC has conducted over time.
The following bar chart indicates how the KwaZulu-Natal Film Commission has supported different population groups through the film fund in terms of the number of projects awarded per year.
