National Diplomas in Accounting and Engineering at NQF 6 may also be accepted for entrance on to the PGCE (Further Education andTrainingTeaching) programme. Applicants having completed an NQF level 7 degree may qualify for admission onto the PGCE (Further Education andTrainingTeaching) Programme.The under- graduate degree should include sufficient disciplinary knowledge in an area of teaching specialisation i.e., the applicant should have completed NQF level 5, 6 and 7 of the school subjects they intend to specialise in. Applicants must submit certified copies of their academic record and qualification certificate for their qualification. The Admissions and Selections Committee does not consider applications on the basis of Recognition of Prior Learning for the PGCE (Further Education andTrainingTeaching) programme

* NOTE 1: On successful completion of the programme, the student will receive a Berea College of Technology Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). In cases where students do not have the requisite level of disciplinary content knowledge leading to a teaching specialisation, he/she would be required to take additional disciplinary subject content knowledge courses concurrently with the PGCE (Further Education and Training Teaching)programme. Theadditionalcourse/swillbeoverandabovethoserequiredcreditsfortheawardofthequalification. Thequalificationwillonlybeawardedoncethesecreditshavebeenobtained.
