Bachelor of Education Honours in Mathematics

The minimum academic entry requirements for the Bachelor of Education Honours in Mathematics Education is an M+4 or NQF Level 7 qualification from an accredited provider of higher education institution through one of the following degree types: a) Four- year professional teaching degree, For e.g. Bachelor of Education degree with Mathematics or composite degrees such as Bachelor of Arts in Education with mathematics specialisation; or Appropriate bachelor’s degree and a recognised teaching qualification, For e.g. Bachelor of Science (Mathematics Specialisation) and Postgraduate Certificate in Education; or b) A four-year professional teaching qualification and Advanced Diploma in a cognate sub-field of Education. Applicants must submit certified copies of the academic record and qualification certificate for their cognate qualification.To enrol onto the programme, applicants need to have obtained an average of 55% for their previous NQF level 7 qualification and to have obtained a minimum of 50% for all Mathematics/Applied Mathematics modules in the final year of mathematics specialisation
