Overview of DUT Business School
The DUT Business School (DBS) is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of business leaders through innovative and practical education. Our programmes are designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in a dynamic global business environment.
Academics biography
1. Professor P. Mashau, Director of DUT Business School:
Proffessor Mashau brings a wealth of experience in management science, emphasizing the importance of integrating economics, entrepreneurship, and business models into the curriculum. “Our focus is on innovation and growth, increasing our visibility, and creating pathways for students to progress from NQF levels 5 to 10”, setting them up for success.
2. Dr. B.W. Zondi, Senior Lecturer:
Dr. Zondi oversees Higher Certificate and Advanced Diploma programmes, highlighting the need for bridging foundational business knowledge with advanced practical skills. “Our programmes ensure students grasp theoretical concepts and apply them in real-world scenarios, preparing them for immediate entry into the business world,” he explains.
3. Professor I.S. Nojiyeza, Senior Lecturer:
Professor Nojiyeza leads the MBA and DRC programme, focusing on fostering strategic thinking and leadership among students. “The MBA programme at DUT is crafted to challenge students to think critically and strategically, equipping them with the tools to navigate and lead in complex business environments,” he remarks.
4. Dr. S. Jugmohan, HOD of Executive Education:
Dr. Jugmohan emphasizes the integration of innovative teaching methods and practical insights in academic programmes. “Our goal is to blend academic rigor with practical applications, ensuring our graduates are well-prepared to tackle the challenges of the modern business world,” he notes.
