 DURBAN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY
 ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARENESS WORKSHOP
The Chemical Engineering department invited the Centre for Social Entrepreneurship to share insights on entrepreneurship with postgraduate students. This event served as a valuable platform to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset among the students and equip them with the necessary resources and support to venture into their own businesses.
The students actively participated in the discussion, raising insightful questions. The CSERI team was thoroughly impressed by the students’ receptiveness and their genuine desire to learn more about the entrepreneurial landscape.
  DESIGN THINKING BOOTCAMP
The Centre hosted an intensive 6-day entrepreneurship bootcamp exclusively for Durban’s women-youth owned businesses. This transformative bootcamp equipped these aspiring entrepreneurs with the knowledge and skills they needed to turn their dreams into reality.
The bootcamp introduced entrepreneurs to the fundamentals of design thinking, entrepreneurship, and customer empathy, empowering them to identify business challenges, connect with their target audience effectively and equip entrepreneurs with the knowledge and skills they need to turn their dreams into reality.
 STRATEGIC PLANNING TRAINING
The Centre held a strategic planning training for incubated entrepreneurs! The session was led by experts from a variety of industries, including Michelle Bisset from Quattro, Dr Helper Zhou from Leaped, Mr Gordon Reid from FGRO, and Ms Nonela Mxokozeli from Sokhanyisa. Entrepreneurs learned about the importance of strategic planning and how to develop a plan that will help them achieve their business goals.
