Gaula Cleaning Services (Pty) Ltd is a cleaning detergents manufacturing company that is owned by Lebohang Elton Gaula who currently resides in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
He was encouraged to start this business after completing his detergent manufacturing course in 2018. Gaula specializes in manufacturing and packaging various kinds of cleaning detergents. They also offer cleaning contract services to corporate office spaces, industrial sites, shopping centers, educational institutions, and construction sites, and garden maintenance and tree felling.
“We deliver an outstanding service to our customers and we are enjoying serious growth as a leading player in our field. We drive innovation to create improved processes that reduce water usage and packaging waste,” said Gaula.
Gaula joined the CSERI incubator in 2020. One of the benefits of being in the incubator is access to funding and Gaula had the privilege of being linked with two of our partners Project Preparation Trust (PPT) and the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) to receive finance support and mentorship.
During the incubation programme Gaula proved himself to be the best at what he is doing. As a result he won the Youth in Business Award in 2021 at the DUT Small Business Awards. Gaula Cleaning Services currently manufactures a wide range of cleaning products that are SANAS-approved. These hygiene items include dishwashing liquid, bleach, and pine gel, hand cleaning detergents, car wash wax, air freshener, carpet shampoo, and upholstery cleaner.
“After joining the incubator I have learned that it’s important to have a strong organization, create an attractive business concept, and have business systems in place so that your business can work without you. To the youth who wish to venture into the detergent business I would say start now with what you have. Don’t wait for funding because you are delaying and discouraging yourself.” said Gaula.
