WORLD INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY DAY
The Centre in collaboration with eThekwini Municipality, Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry NPC, RR Foundation, SEDA, Durban Film Office, and the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), hosted a hybrid workshop at the Botanic Gardens to commemorate World Intellectual Property Day.
Centre for Social Entrepreneurship alumnus Siphiwe Anathoth Jedidiah Zuma, the creator of Anathoth Solutions and a social entrepreneur, was one of the panelists at this event. Zuma presented his entrepreneurial experience with enthusiasm, inspiring young entrepreneurs to be creative and create businesses that solve problems.
DURBAN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY
CATALER ADVANCED ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
The Centre ran an intense Advanced Enterprise Development Programme during November/ December for 15 SMMEs.
The programme included different business development trainings such as financial management, gap analysis, the growth wheel business profile, marketing anda sales and pitching session. The programme included external providers such as Action Coach, SMeasy, Finfind and SCNET. The Centre procured 15 licenses from the Supply Chain Network that will provide procurement solutions to assist SMMEs to discover credible, empowered suppliers and secure online quote management technology. The SCNET license will prepared the SMMEs to become stronger as suppliers to the Automotive Sector.
