 Ncoza Dlova
Ncoza Dlova, is a Full Professor , Dean of the School of Clinical Medicine and Head of Dermatology Dept University of KwaZulu
Natal, Durban , South Africa. She has since trained and mentored more than 40 dermatologists. She is an internationally acclaimed dermatologist, and well recognised in SA and Africa at large, with a PhD focusing on ethnic skin and hair. She has a very keen interest in medical education thus extending this pastime to both community and public education on skin and hair. She has many accolades and awards behind her name, recently she was awarded the Leadership award as the Best Dean Leader in the College of Health Sciences. She is a well published dermatologist with more than
100 scientific publications in peer reviewed journals, and an NRF rated researcher with more than 15 chapters in international dermatology textbooks and 2 dermatology books which depict and are relevant to South Africans and Black Skin. She is a member of numerous international dermatology boards and societies eg Global Psoriasis Atlas, International Eczema Society, Skin of Color Society in the USA, African Hair and International Hair Groups. She has been invited as guest speaker in more than 30 countries and is a member of the prestigious American Dermatology Association (ADA) and Recipient of the 2020 Maria Duran award from the International Society of Dermatology(ISD) in recognition of her contribution to dermatology. She represents Africa as an Associate Member in the board of the International League of Dermatology Society, the largest body of dermatology societies in the world.
