RE-06 Bill of Materials Creation (BOM)
• Purpose: Develop an extensive list of components required to repair an asset as well as their specifications and purchasing information. Not all components will be kept onsite, however, it is important to have a list detailing the specific information about a part so it can be ordered in a hurry. The BOM is held in SAP.

RE-07 Maintenance Strategy Development
• Purpose: Uses the outputs from the failure modes and effects analysis and/or the manufacturer’s recommendations to develop new preventive maintenance plans to add
to the CMMS. It also ensures the preventive maintenance work orders are clear enough for any qualified workers to be able to perform the task in the same way.

RE-08 PM Optimization
• Purpose: Ensure all current preventive and predictive maintenance plans are effective and necessary the way they are written. Otherwise, they are revised to be written and performed in a more effective manner.

RE-09 Loss Elimination
• Purpose: Identifies and eliminates chronic losses throughout the scope of the asset management system to facilitate continuous improvement. It uses the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process to help analyze and solve inefficiencies. The losses are identified through analysis of metrics and key performance indicators.
