Jack in the Frame’s inspiration
comes from the striped,
purple, maroon, and green-
colored Jack in the Pulpit
plant I found growing below
my studio which is located
in the Smoky Mountains of
North Carolina. The unique
appearing plant is easily
recognized by its “Jack”
standing erect in his pulpit.
