After the Bloom

This piece is based on wildflowers that were spent and the
blossoms fallen to the ground, ready to give up their seeds to
the next generation. It’s created with encaustic, embedded
monoprints, wax crayon, varnish burn and embedded bark and
seeds.
Poppin’

California Poppies are everywhere this spring.
Due to the rare amount of rain in Southern
California we’ve been blessed with a super
bloom, and these happy orange flowers are
poppin’ up all over. Mixed media, created with
encaustic, pigment paint, embedded original
photography prints, mono prints on rice paper,
and pan pastel.
