ARTIST STATEMENT

Ann Bonestell

Over the past several years, life has presented me with a

number of "invitations" to stop, slow down, pay attention, go

deeper. Each time, I have listened and moved in new directions,

changing my life in that way and yes, going deeper.

This little book is a mindful meditation. An invitation in itself.

An experiment in discovery. An exploration into the

impermanence of things. It is deliberately unfinished. Thus, it

invites the creator to continue the exploration from time to

time. It serves as a container for the thoughts and emotions

that present themselves during the work. And finally, it

becomes a reminder that we can indeed exist in the moment,

continuing to proceed without a planned pathway and trusting

that the next step will present itself when we get there.
