ARTIST STATEMENT
Nanette Roche
This work was completed during my time convalescing from back
surgery and my husbands passing. I used water soluble charcoal
with makeup brushes and stencils on watercolor paper.
The zippered forms are reminiscent of the appearance of an X-ray
of my back. Some features look cellular mapping the cancer that
took my husband.
