The Enso Circle, First Term
In this residency my goal is to create a small body of work based
on the themes of loss, healing, and resilience executed in two-
dimensional mixed media, but with three different main media -
watercolor, acrylic, and encaustic.
At midterm, I have completed the development of the visual
language I will use to evoke the different themes, and have
completed the first series on Loss in watercolor mixed media.
The members of the Enso Circle have been invaluable for feedback
and encouragement, and the resources that have been provided
have increased the depth of my development and documentation
of my processes for the work.
