Richard Pierce, known to friends as Rick and to family as Ricky, was born in Chicago, IL
to James and Eather Pierce on October 4, 1951. Ricky grew up in a household of seven
children (five boys and two girls) and was said to be a wonderful big/little brother who
loved on and looked after his sisters. He was raised on the South side of Chicago where he
attended Chicago Vocational School (CVS) and met his first wife Michelle “Trina”, mother of
his son Ramone, better known as Eric.
After graduating from CVS, he went on to serve in the United States Air Force for nine years
where he got to travel the world, during which he met his second wife Jacqueline, mother
of his daughter Danielle. Rick began honing his DJing skills while in the Military. After retiring
from the Air Force, he moved to Minneapolis, MN, where he worked as an Operations
Supervisor for WCCO news station (CBS Sports) while gaining notoriety as a local DJ. One of
Danielle’s favorite memories is her father covering Major League Baseball games and getting
to sit in the Minnesota Twins dugout with him during the games.
After living in Minneapolis for 12 years, he relocated back to his home town of Chicago. It
was at this point that he gave his life to Christ and became a servant for the Lord. That
service included Media Ministry and production work. He continued his work in the Media
Ministry after retiring and relocated to Arlington, TX, where he found a home and family at
Cornerstone Baptist Church.
