The 1986-87 Hockey season saw many new faces and names come into the rink for the Brothers. With the departure of seven seniors, it looked as if the team would be a little young and have the cliched “rebuild ing year. ” This simply was not the case. With 3 return ing seniors, the young team opened its season with a big win over former state champions Liverpool High School. It was a good start to a very encouraging season wrapping up in sectional play.
Faced with the challenging task of the team with little experience were tri-captains Charles Krylo, James Bradshaw, and Henrey Dotterer along with Coach Gagliardi and Conroy molded the young tal ent into a strong and cohesive unit. Anchoring this unit with perhaps the most demanding task was Reid Heiser, the league’s number one goalie.
With an overall record o f IT8-1 the Brothers Hockey Team has proven once again that they are a formida
ble force to be reckoned with in the Syracuse area.
