Varsity Baseball completes successful
season with a playoff birth.
The Brothers had a number of fine hitters. Throughout the season the team showed a surprising display of power that accounted for a number of wins. The hitting attack was led by Dave Krause who batted close to .550 and Carl Hummel who hit .450. Senior Lou Sacco, Junior Tim Kelly and Sophomore Pete Stoyan round ed out the strong hitting attack.
CBA touted a solid infield that was anchored by short-stop Chris Todd and second-baseman Lou Sacco, both of whom were base-stealing threats as well.
Perhaps the highlight of the season was a post-season win over power house Henninger. The game was close until a grand-slam home-run by Junior Bob Lyons broke it open for the Brothers. CBA then went on to win
15-9.
The Brothers lived up to many ex
pectations in 1985 and with the loss of only four Seniors to graduation, ^ Coach Tom Dotterer looks for a promising future.
