Brothers Forensics Bring Home the Gold.

The competition was always tight but this years public speaking team faced more than just oppos ing schools. Startled by an easy going season, the team was quick to practice when they learned that the National Qualifyer was moved up a month earlier. Did that stop
the Brothers? Not at all. Keith Bat taglia, John Hughes, and Paul Barnaba all took home the gold:
signifying their ticket to Baltimore, the location of the 1986 NCFL tour nament.
As for the rest of the team: How about Pat Burke’s 1st place win in Original Oratory at our home tour nament, Peter Thompson’s 2nd place win in J.V. Extemp at Liver pool, and Brian Riley’s 3rd place
win at Bishop Kearney in Dramatic Interp. CBA’s Forensics team’s act
was hard to follow.
The 1986 year brought many ad
ventures out of Forensic team members. The stories they could tell of snowy trips would intrigue you, but to sum it up in the words of K. Battaglia, J. Hughes, and P.
