I
Surviving Orientation
started school on September lo, on a Friday. I was welcomed by students
with smiles as soon as I got off the bus, and I felt really excited to be
there. All the seventh graders went to the junior high wing with the
help of some signs held by upperclassmen. It was good to be in the
homeroom and see old friends from my previous school and new people who
I could not wait to meet.
It was kind of scary being in a new school with different rules, and with
new people. But the time went by quickly as we went through our schedule.
I was surprised that we were going to play games, but I was glad when we
were finally called down to the gym. It was fun laughing, making new friends,
and doing crazy things on the first day of school.
Time had run out, and it was time to go. I enjoyed the great day the
faculty prepared for us and by the time I left I felt really comfortable there.
I wasn’t quite sure how Monday would go, but I was looking forward to
coming back. I had survived my first day at CBA, and I felt great!
Students made new friends on their first day. Karl Berger, Mike Cal houn, and Lindsay Mar tin share a fun moment on Orientation Day.
Orientation Day was an exciting time for the sev enth graders. Jeff Duesel shows his enthusiasm for his first day at a new school.
