Helping Out
Just over six years ago, I walked into CBA for my first day of school as a seventh grader. This September, a new group of seventh graders also had their first day of school, but that was about the only similarity between the two days. When I arrived on my first day, I spent the first twenty minutes wandering aimlessly around the hall with a huge
group of seventh, eighth, and ninth graders. This year’s seventh graders, the
only class present that day, were greeted by volunteer upper classmen as they
entered the school building. My first day was spent filling out forms and
worrying about everything I could think of to worry about. The class of 1999
spent their first day playing games and getting to know each other and their
teachers. Overall, the seventh grade orientation was a huge success.
There were numerous tasks to be done during orientation, Valerie Sin- doni helps out by giving food to the younger stu dents.

Orientation proved to be fun for everybody, includ ing Seniors. Jay Salisbury shows off for the camera as John Powell glances in time to see him.
