---------- Boosters back Brothers
It was a dark and stormy night. The thermometer read a hundred and fifty below zero. All decent folk were home in bed think ing of retiring to Florida. But the Booster Club was out there freezing its boosters off. Who were these masked maniacs.C No, not vacationing Eskimos, but the loyal promoters of CBA athletics. No, they’re not mad (well, maybe just a little), they are dis playing the kind of spirit that held CBA athletics together when the going got frozen solid.
Inclement weather and the toils of travel could not daunt these fearless fans. They packed into cars like ice cubes in a tray and sped off to exotic, far-away places like "Watertown” or "Utica".
There were the better moments, too, such as the mobbing of Heid's or Swenson’s en masse or standing bravely in front of egg throwing Ludden losers. These were no fair-weather fans. They were abominable snowfans. They revelled in blizzards and hurricanes; any test of their dedication and insanity . . . all in the name of CBA Sports
