\Xhv is it that everyone is always complaining about the weather,'' X’es, Syracuse is the unheralded blizzard capital of the world (Chicago is a distant second), yes, our average weekly snowfall is greater than the rest of the country's sea sonal average, but is that so bad? After all, without snow there would be no skiing.
W'hat red-blooded American can go through an entire winter without one broken bone? And what better way to get one than skiing,''
This was the objective of the ski club maximizing the enjoy
ment of the trip, while the objective of their moderator Mr. Campbell was to minimize the ambulance fees. It seemed that both goals were clearly achieved as it snowed and snowed and snowed.
While there were two disappointing cancellations — one because the dutiful CBA bus, sometimes has a mind of its own — and the other because rain disrupted the weekly schedule; nonetheless the snow shooters were able to prove that the weather in Syracuse is not all that bad if you have the right hobby.
