Throughout the season, the
players' enthusiasm for their
game remained high. Their ca
maraderie enabled them to
maintain a positive outlook
even when facing their tough
est opponent, which was Not
tingham High School. Cap
tains Kelly Romano and Heidi
Aumiller led the team well, de
spite the fact that the team was
not victorious in this game.
Although if is doubtful that
the Girls Varsity Team will play
in the sectionals at the end of
the season, they feel that they
will compete in the tournament
next year. The team, which is
mostly made up of juniors, feels
confident that they will improve
considerably in the future.

the Girls JV Basketball
team, it's determined. De
tial enthusiasm and high spirits.
The improvements they have
made in shooting and defense
make this possible.
Coach Tina Burrows spent
her first year as a coach help
ing the team to develop playing
strategies. She proved to be a
talented leader, and soon won
the respect of her team. Coach
Burrows also brought the play
ers closer together.
The team's toughest oppo
nent was Corcoran. A positive
attitude helped the girls in deal
ing with their defeat and ena
bled the young players to learn
from their mistakes. With the
same optimistic outlook, the
team hopes to do better the
next time around.
