Adisintegrating league didn’t offer much hope that CBA Athletics would put things back together. Participating in the re vamped Onondaga High School League present ed mixed opportunities for success. Perennial power houses such as Liverpool and J-D threa- teded to rob the Brothers of the prominence they’d enjoyed in the old CNYCL. Yet it was precisely the Brothers’ ability to mesh very dif ferent parts into a competitive, unified whole that enabled them to make an impressive showing against area schools.
It didn’t matter much that there were ups and downs; nor that several of the Brothers squads began their season with untried players. The real importance lay in that we were together in our drive to make our presence felt among schools that hadn’t experienced our brand of spirit.
