P. 16
“What’d ’ja get?” “Who won?” “Who sold the most raffle tick ets?” The past year has seen us constantly measuring ourselves against others, academically, athletically, socially. From the Fall Field days through Winter Week to end-of- the-year membership in the Brother Adolphus Honor Society, we’ve striven for both individual
and group success. And we’ve grown. Competition has taken many forms that

weren’t always so obvious: the friendly banter of grade comparison, the more serious task of addy ing Winter Week prizes to the class treasury, and even who gets into the lunch line first. Somehow, it never seemed to dampen the enthusiasm that underlay day-to-day life at CBA. If anything, the competition enhanced our sense that CBA was something special, that we were a closely knit group despite our varied interests and talents.
