The most interesting things can lappen at the oddest times of the day —and yet that is precisely what CBA
tudent life is all about. The brochures >ne can pick up in the main office say .lot about what kind of product CBA >ffers, but really does not give any 'ue picture of what day to day life is ke here.
From Days of Recollection to Win- 3r Week; Pep Rallies to Christmas assemblies; the kinds of activities /hich one encounters at various
mes of the year have little in common xcept that they bring CBA students
together in a way that the classroom could never accomplish.
It is hard to describe the reception which 500 students gave to the musi cal groups which performed for them at the Christmas Assembly — except to say that it was overwhelmingly supportive. Brother Richard recalls: “ There was some nervousness among the organizing committee about the Breakdancers. But, it was clear from past experience that CBA students always appreciate their own — no matter what the contribution.”
It was precisely that kind of appre ciation which drew the student body together — whether it was for litur gies, Volleyball finals, class assem blies, or Proms. The students knew the kind of work it takes to put some thing together, and they were grate ful.
So, as the year progressed, corri dor conversations could be over heard discussing whatever the im pending event happened to be — and there was always a note of hope that it would be as good as last year’s.
