Fall Pep Rally Marks Renewed Spiri
The lights were out, George Bla- siak dressed as a Brother, an nounced in solemn tones, the en trance of the accused. Three mem bers of the Varsity Football team slowly brought the Green Latrine into the spotlight. Amidst cheering and screaming from the crowd, the fall athletes proceeded to demonstrate what they hoped to do to arch-rival. Bishop Ludden demolish the Green Latrine.
The fall pep rally, organized by Booster Club President, Tom Mi chaud capped one of the most inten sive spirit building campaigns in the last four years at CBA. It evidently
worked, as the crowd at the next days football game was the largest of the season. In the final analysis, it really mattered only a little that the game was a loss for the Brothers — largely because of two key turnovers. Michaud noted the positive impact of the Booster Club: “ Spirit is more than just coming out to support the teams. It’s also the way everybody feels about the school.”
The round of activities that preced ed the pep rally accomplished Mi chaud’s goal. Every week, a new se ries of posters were seen in the halls and cafeteria announcing the latest sports contests. Usually, new faces
could be seen among the families ones who generally painted the posf ers. Brother Richard explained it thi! way: “ I’ve been asked by student! from all different sports for the materi als to paint posters for their con tests.” Spirit week, with its varioui activities from jokish hat day to sui glass and dress down day helpe( contribute to the increased spirit o the school.
As a result, Michaud and his assis tants Chris Mills and Tony Lampur saw their efforts at the pep rally makf a long term contribution to CBA Spirit
