 Divide and Conquer is Winter Week Motto Seniors retain title despite Sophomore Challenge
Unlike the year’s Winter Week leyball, ping-pong, anid basketball in
George Blasiak and Peter Vander- loo, who talked Brother Richard into letting the last two days’ events, vol­ leyball and basketball, be viewed by the entire school. Vanderloo com­ mented, “ Because the whole school saw the competition, more people could realize how much fun it can be so that next year we can get even more people involved.’’
^ivhich was filletd with numerous up­ sets, this year’s events went off with afew surprises. The seniors took first 3y a large margin, with the juniors adging out the sophomores for sec- ancJ while the freshman class brought jp the rear.
The seniors won all the major avents such as lacrosse, soccer, vol­
ad(dition to placing well in the minor events such as pitch and chess. The only real upsets during the Winter Week activities were the domination of the arm wrestling events by the underclassmen and the sophomores class’s winning the tug of war con­ test.
