Director Search!

Island Grove Chorus is looking for a new chorus director. After 15 years our director is retiring. Our
director would need to:

• Need to attend all weekly rehearsals. We rehearse Tuesday nights from 7:15 -10:00 pm at the UCC
Church Hall in Abington, Ma.
• Assess the musical qualifications of all members and prospective members.
• Direct all performances, singing engagements and competitions. Many involve weekends.
• Have an in-depth knowledge of barbershop-style music, although candidates with a good knowledge
and strong willingness to learn may be considered as well.
• Ensure that the chorus is prepared and motivated to perform at its highest level.
• Enjoy what they are doing and show that to the chorus!
• Have heart, kindness and a sense of humor!
