Peanut Blossoms
Th ese cook ies have been around forever, and ever yone has a recipe
for them . I g rew up eating this version , my aunt Dorothy’s recipe. A
favor ite with children and adults alike, they’re often the rst
cook ies to disappear from a table full of choices.
MAKES ABOUT THIRT Y 3-INCH COOKIES
1⅓ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon fine sea salt
¼ teaspoon baking powder
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
¾ cup natural peanut butter
¾ cup gr anulated suga r, divided
½ cup ligh tly packed ligh t brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
30 candy kisses or chocolate disks
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheets with
parchment paper. In a medium bowl, whisk together the our,
baking soda, salt, and baking powder. Set aside.

att achment, or using a handheld electric mixer, beat the butter,
