ROCKY ROAD CUPCAKES

               Get ready to pour the milk! This is a crowd-pleasing recipe sure to suit all kids
               and any adult with a particularly sweet tooth. A bit more subtle in flavor than
               some of the other chocolate cupcakes, this batter contains chocolate cake mix
               plus vanilla pudding, and milk chocolate chips that are folded in at the last
               minute. The Milk Chocolate Rocky Road Frosting is the crowning touch.




                     MAKES 22 TO 24 CUPCAKES (2½ INCHES EACH)

                     PREPARATION TIME: 20 MINUTES

                     BAKING TIME: 18 TO 20 MINUTES

                     ASSEMBLY TIME: 10 MINUTES




               24 paper liners for cupcake pans (2½-inch size)



               CUPCAKES:

               1 package (18.25 ounces) plain devil’s food cake mix
               1 package (3.4 ounces) vanilla instant pudding mix

               1 cup whole milk
               ½ cup vegetable oil
               3 large eggs

               1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
               1 cup milk chocolate chips



               MILK CHOCOLATE ROCKY ROAD FROSTING:

               ¾ cup granulated sugar

               5 tablespoons butter
