Makes 2 large sandwiches (can be cut into halves or

                                                       quarters)

                Sherlock Holmes is famous for having a sparse appetite, but cold beef sandwiches seem to
                be a weakness of his. He indulges in them several times throughout the books, mostly while
                traveling on a case. I can see why! What could be better brain food than hearty bread,
                protein that sticks to your ribs, and some choice toppings to wake your taste buds?


                INGREDIENTS


                For the Sauce
                 3 tablespoons sour cream

                 2 tablespoons horseradish sauce
                 1 strong pinch kosher salt

                 1 strong dash black pepper

                 ¾ teaspoon lemon juice


                For the Sandwiches

                 ½ lb. boneless steak cut into 2 portions                *
                 Salt and pepper, to taste

                 4 slices whole wheat bread

                 4 radishes
                 1½ cups arugula


                INSTRUCTIONS


                1 Mix all the sauce ingredients together in a small bowl. Set aside.


                2 Season the steak with salt and pepper to taste. Lightly oil a skillet
                and set on medium heat. When the skillet is hot, sear the steak for 2

                minutes on both sides. Hold the short ends down on the skillet with a
