HURRICANE IRMA: Talapia Farm on the Eastern End of IEKHS Campus

Extensive damages occurred to the Talapia Farm and Hydroponics System as a result of

Hurricane Irma. Since then we have struggled to keep it up and running. A lot of it can be
attributed to the retirement of the employee, who brought the idea and concept to the
school. Last year, 2019, a DOE employee was transferred to the school. He teaches stu-
dents to build Hydroponics Systems from an Agricultural perspective, That, for sure, has
peaked some students interest to the point that they are extremely proud when their built
Hydroponics is sold at the Agricultural Fair ain Emancipation Garden and at the Bordeaux

Farmers Agricultural Fair.
