Note that this procedure utilizes the Paneva-Holevich technique. The first stage has already
been performed, involving the anastomosis of the superficial flexor tendon to the deep
flexor tendon using a two-stage strategy with a silicone rod interposition. In the second
stage described below, the superficial flexor tendon will be harvested from the forearm and
placed into the sheath previously prepared with the Silastic rod.
