SIGNAGE PERMIT

Any signage, including window signage, requires a sign permit. Most also require a building permit, but no
additional application is required.

Fees due at submittal:
• Sign permit application: $250 for illuminated signage; $150 for non-illuminated
• Building permit: Plan check - $ 105 (illuminated) or $35 (non-illuminated).
* Additional building permit fees are due at issuance (approx. $115).

Payment can be by check (payable to City of Hanford) or online (Visa or Mastercard; service fee applies)

The amount of signage allowed depends on the zone district. Please contact the Planning Department for
more information on zoning or signage. You are not required to have a sign contractor handle the sign
permit, but it is highly recommend.
