Page 4 WIC CLINIC
NSO maintains Oklahoma’s largest Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Clinic to serve low-income and at-risk populations. This income-based program provides nutritional education, supplemental foods and assistance to mothers with infants.
Our clinic holds weekly breastfeeding classes, general nutrition classes, high-risk classes and lactation consultations. We also have a full-time nutritionist on staff.

NSO’s WIC Clinic serves more than 60,000 every year
Sonia Carpenter, WIC Clinic Director, and Brittany Wheaton, WIC Dietitian, both completed the OSDH WIC Service Breastfeeding Education Course, the OSDH WIC Service Lactation Course, the OSDH WIC Service Breastfeeding Peer Counseling Journey Training and WIC RD Training.
Brittany also qualified and registered for the International Board Certified Lactation
