P. 17
• We do not give gifts to God, we give our lives
• We can worship anywhere
7. Gather back to share. Let different children read some of the following
verses making clear our Christian beliefs:-
• Isaiah 64:8
• Genesis 1:1
• Deuteronomy 5:7-9
• Matthew 6:9
• Psalm 24:1
• Colossians 1:16
• Ecclesiastes 3:10-11
• Romans 1:20
• Isaiah 9:6
8. Talk about people from every age and culture reaching out for God. Talk
about the verse in Acts 17 where Paul finds the idol built to the unknown god.
Ask how much we know about our God; are we eager to discover more?
9. Read the story of Epimenides and the Athenian Plague. The children could
write their own account of the story.
Learning for Life (Fulfilment)
1. The children should be aware of the differences between Ancient Greek
religion and Christian beliefs.
2. They should appreciate that people in all ages and cultures, even today,
reach out for God and that we should keep seeking to know him more too.
