To write a short imaginary story
Before the lesson (in an art lesson or for homework) the children should have drawn an island with

draw on the island: -
• Mountains
• Forest
• Lake
• Steep cliffs

Read the Parable of the Hidden Treasure and the Pearl in Matthew 13:44-46. Discuss the excitement
of finding treasure.
Let the children imagine that they are spending a week’s holiday on a remote island with their friends.
They explore the island carefully because they have read that there is hidden treasure on the island.
Eventually, they stumble upon the treasure in a most unexpected place after days of fruitless
searching.
